ALLIED ANNOUNCES NEW
TRAINING & RECRUITMENT DIVISION
Top tele sales staff to be recruited
and trained for other companies
ONE of Scotland's fastest-growing companies has announced a new venture which will source and train high quality tele sales staff for other businesses.
Motor dealership and UK-wide taxi supplier Allied Vehicles already operates a large call centre for its own taxi sales division in Glasgow.
Now Allied is branching out to provide highly-skilled quality staff for companies of all kinds which need tele sales staff with a new business called Allied Recruitment and Training.
Allied Managing Director Gerry Facenna said: "This is an exciting development for us and one which we believe will tap into a lucrative area of business. Many companies do not have the expertise or the facilities to find and train top-flight tele sales employees."
Research carried out by Allied - named last year as the seventh fastest-growing company of any kind in Scotland - found other businesses needed such a service.
Mr Facenna added: "We realise this is a departure from our core businesses of the motor industry but we believe our success can be replicated and we are already in talks with a number of companies keen to utilise our new venture."
Allied employs a total of 210 people at its north Glasgow site including 40 in the tele sales division. Numbers have grown steadily at the call centre in recent months. The Company recently spent £450,000 on the call centre to create a showpiece facility.
Lorna Miller of Allied Recruitment and Training added: "At Allied we operate a successful, busy call centre where our skilled and highly-motivated telesales agents sell a variety of products to different market sectors. We owe our success and record breaking sales to rigourous recruitment
processes, excellent training and progressive development training techniques.
"Our aim is to help other companies to gain from our experience by providing fully-trained and motivated people ready to start work. And we will recruit and train using our own tried and tested methods. Time is taken to evaluate and create a tailor-made package based on a company's requirements with a focus on retaining highly motivated and productive staff.
"Our training programme extends to an existing workforce and new staff being recruited."
Allied Recruitment and Training offers a policy of not asking for a fee from clients until a company is satisfied the candidate is the right choice.
