BUYOUT ANNOUNCED AT GLASGOW-BASED ECLECTIC GROUP

LEADING TECHNOLOGY COMPANY NOW BASED IN SCOTLAND GLASGOW has been unveiled as the UK headquarters for leading information technology solutions company the Eclectic Group following a management buyout.

The business has been bought by four members of staff from former owners the Druid Group. Eclectic plans to rapidly introduce e-learning as companies rush to embrace e-technology.

Announcing the decision, Eclectic Director Mark Simpson said: "Our management buyout will ensure the future success of Eclectic and will enable us to deliver comprehensive information technology solutions to an expanding number of clients. "Our aim is to work closely with customers to ensure delivery of their long-term technology strategies."

Eclectic offers a wide range of e-business services including training, software licenses, business intelligence and consultancy services.

Eclectic has succeeded in retaining prestigious partnerships with leading e-technology companies following the buyout. They are with global software giants Oracle whose technology powers the internet; Business Objects which enables companies to access their data by providing e business solutions and Sybase which ties together different information systems and distributes them wherever needed.

Eclectic 's 24-hour a day on-line IT training will be tailored to fit the needs of individual businesses, the company says. Existing blue chip clients include NTL, NEC (Semiconductors) UK Ltd, Harper Collins, John Menzies Distribution and Glasgow City Council.
